Climb every mountain? As long as my feet can take me, I’ll do it. Every mountain is different, some mountain you would like to climb again, some you will step aside for other meaningful pursuits.
Some have great height above sea level and some are not. It doesn’t mean anything in terms of difficulty or toughness. Mt KK for example is the highest mountain in South East Asia has been considered the easiest range of mountain to conquer. Does this means you would love to do it again and again? It’s a human nature to feel bored to do something that isn’t challenging. We human have ambitions and goals to achieve and therefore we need to climb a more challenging mountain for personal satisfaction.
At times our goals and ambitions are too high to achieve which makes us feel tired, frustrated and stressful to continue the journey. Certainly there are mountains that make us feel good about ourselves and gave us a smile on our face when we think about it.
Getting lost during a mountaineering trip can happen to anyone of us , regardless of novice or experience hikers.. AT times we can still move forward to create another path but most of the time it is wiser to step back to reevaluate the path that we had chosen. Should we choose another path, should we wait to be rescued or should we choose the same path again and risk walking in circles.
In every mountain that we climbed there are lessons to be learned. There are challenging terrains that we need to cross and there be risk of being bitten bike snakes, insects or bees that we need to take. Fear of risk can hinder us from exploring, learning and experience every single mountain that we dream to conquer.
